Jacqui KnighT
Jacqui lives in Blockhouse Bay, Auckland where she is a freelance writer, desktop publisher, and the persona of ‘Madam Butterfly’ when she visits schools to talk about… butterflies. She has been playing with butterflies ever since she can remember; and taught all she knew to her two sons and three grandchildren too.
Jacqui has been educating and entertaining children and adults, and speaking about butterflies for 35 years. She’s a trustee of The Moths and Butterflies of NZ Trust which is a not-for-profit organisation passionate about ensuring that Aotearoa New Zealand's ecosystems support thriving moth and butterfly populations.
NZMBT is spearheading a number of initiatives to help protect these important indicators of eco-system health. Visit their website to learn about them, including the Pest Wasp Survey and Tagging Monarchs projects.
