JULIE BURWELL

Julie Burwell farms 130ha in Arapuni, South Waikato with her husband, Barry, and their daughter, Laura.

After 40+ years in dairy farming and trying just about everything along the way, it was a Nicole Masters workshop seven years ago that set them on a new path — looking at soil health and a regenerative way of farming.

When she’s not out with her Jersey cows, Julie’s either in her thriving food garden or in her pottery studio throwing clay and firing her wood kiln. 

Julie will be participating in a session on dung beetles which she has managed to successfully introduce to her system.
