MARōtini Clements

Marōtini is your local cacao dealer with her business Ka kā wā Confectionery.

Ka kā wā creates time and space for you to reignite your inner fire. We celebrate the ritual in the everyday. Taking notice of the small moments, the bubbles of joy, the moments of sadness, and allowing them to be held and processed in any way that feels right to you and your wairua.

We are big fans of somatic movement, breath work, oro and hands in the soil as medicine for the soul, alongside Ka kā wā these create potent moments of release, energising and uplifting, allowing creation to unfold the journey ahead.

Our cacao is handcrafted on the beautiful whenua of Kāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe and Waitaha in Waitati, Ōtepoti, Aotearoa from our Pacific neighbours in the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea. We handcraft treats to delight your senses.

Marōtini is the founder of Ka kā wā Confectionery, facilitating reconnection to self and Papatūānuku through the service of handcrafted bean-to-bar Pacific Cacao. Creating safe spaces that nourish the wairua (Spirit), open the ngakau (heart) and enliven the tinana (body).

Completed a Bachelor of Design in Fashion in 2011, working with sustainability and zero waste as a kaupapa throughout this learning process. Then a Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Practice in 2018 moved Marotini into zero-waste event management with her business Res.Awesome Ltd and the community sewing room Stitch Kitchen founder and the Ōtepoti collective Dunedin Designed Inc.

Marōtini has a penchant for regenerative systems, ethical product stewardship and collaborative partnerships.
